Mirjam van Ankum is a contemporary visual artist and creative director with over twenty five years of international experience translating abstract ideas into compelling visual forms. Trained in Drawing and Painting as well as Fashion and Textile Design at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague, her practice is shaped by a strong foundation in both fine art and applied design. Her early recognition includes receiving first prize for her graduation collection, De Zuid-Hollandse Vormgevers prijs, marking the beginning of a career defined by creative clarity and innovation.

Alongside her artistic practice, van Ankum has held leadership roles within global fashion brands, developing a deep expertise in visual communication, brand storytelling, and audience engagement. Her work bridges conceptual thinking and real world application, creating visual narratives that resonate across contexts.
