Fernando Sánchez

ARTIST | SPAIN

Fernando Sánchez García is a Málaga-based artist whose creative path was shaped by early admiration, lived experience, and a deep emotional connection to art history. His fascination with painting began in childhood, inspired by an aunt whose award-winning watercolours left a lasting impression. Although art remained dormant for many years, it re-emerged in 2015 while he was teaching, when guiding students reignited his own creative practice.

Formally trained at Centroarte Academy and currently studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Málaga, Sánchez García works across drawing, painting, sculpture, digital art, and printmaking. His work is driven by empathy and emotional sensitivity, transforming words, memories, and research into expressive visual narratives. He is currently immersed in a biographical art project dedicated to Pablo Picasso’s early years in Málaga, developed alongside poet Laura.Viele.31, where image and poetry meet to evoke emotion and lived history.
