Anand Manchiraju

ARTIST | india

Anand Swaroop Manchiraju is a contemporary artist based in Hyderabad, India, whose creative journey began in childhood under the influence of his father, a renowned artist. Growing up surrounded by the quiet discipline of studio life, he learned to observe, trust the process, and understand art as a way of living rather than a separate profession. This early immersion later led him to formal training in photography at JNTU Hyderabad and to a career marked by continuous experimentation across mediums and disciplines.

Working with oil and acrylic on canvas, ink and wax on paper, photo chemicals on bromide paper, and reprocessed X ray sheets, Manchiraju’s practice is driven by intuition and responsiveness to lived experience. His work draws inspiration from contrasting environments, ranging from Himalayan landscapes and spiritual stillness to the dynamic rhythms of urban cityscapes. Through layered textures, unconventional tools, and an open ended process, his art invites viewers to pause, engage, and form a deep emotional connection with the work.
