Mária Čajková is a contemporary artist based in Senica, Slovakia, whose practice began in 2016 through an interest in interior design and quickly evolved into a full time artistic pursuit. Working initially from improvised studio spaces, she committed fully to her vision during the pandemic period, opening her first studio in 2021 and curating her first solo exhibition in 2022. Since then, her work has received national and international recognition, including awards and exhibitions across Europe.

Epoxy resin has been her primary medium since 2018, through which she creates hand poured multilayer artworks defined by depth, movement, and light. Her work explores the concept of perspective, where shifts in viewing angle and illumination alter the visual character of each piece, activating the viewer as part of the artwork itself. Rooted in personal experience and inspired by nature, travel, and the power of the human mind, Čajková’s work invites reflection on perception, identity, and the beauty that emerges beneath the surface.
