The Fusion Art Gallery Opens New Contemporary Art Hub in Málaga

The Fusion Art Gallery has opened its new gallery space in Málaga, marking the next chapter in its mission to build a more active, visible and human model for the art world.

After developing its presence in Marbella and the wider Costa del Sol, The Fusion Art Gallery has moved its main base to Málaga, a city with year-round international energy, strong cultural identity and a growing reputation as one of Southern Europe’s most interesting creative hubs.

Located at C. Malpica 9, 29002 Málaga, the new space is designed as more than a traditional gallery. It is a working art platform where exhibitions, media production, artist storytelling, live events, collector meetings and community activity come together.

The move from Marbella to Málaga reflects a clear strategic step for the gallery. Marbella gave The Fusion Art Gallery access to luxury culture, international collectors and private art experiences. Málaga adds something different: daily cultural life, international visitors, local community, museums, artists, students, creatives and a city that is active throughout the year.

“Málaga gives us the energy we need to build something long-term,” says Johan Grundin, founder of The Fusion Art Gallery. “We are not only opening a gallery. We are building a place where artists can grow, be seen, create content, meet people and become part of a wider international platform.”

More than a gallery

The Fusion Art Gallery was founded by Swedish artist and entrepreneur Johan Grundin, who brings more than 25 years of experience in marketing, PR, event production, photography and video into the art world. The gallery’s model is built around in-house production, meaning that exhibitions are supported by marketing, media, content and visibility from the beginning.

Unlike many traditional galleries, The Fusion Art Gallery does not see an exhibition as the final result. It sees the exhibition as the starting point.

Artists are supported through curated shows, professional photo and video, artist profile pages, live streaming, short interviews, PR outreach, digital representation, online sales and collector communication. The goal is to create content and visibility that continues after the physical exhibition closes.

This approach is especially focused on new, emerging and independent artists who want more than wall space. The gallery works to give artists a stronger platform, clearer presentation and a real opportunity to build momentum.

A space for artists, collectors and art lovers

The Málaga gallery brings together physical exhibitions with a wider cultural and media platform. It includes curated group exhibitions, solo exhibitions, Artsy representation, artist interviews, podcasts, documentaries, live painting, workshops, private viewings and collector events.

The gallery is also part of a larger movement around transparency and trust in the art world. Its model is built around clear pricing, visible process, lower commissions and a belief that artists should understand what they pay for, what they receive and what they keep.

For collectors and visitors, the gallery offers access to international artists at an earlier stage in their journey, with more context around the artist, the work and the story behind it.

Why Málaga

Málaga has become one of the most active cultural cities in Spain, with a growing international community, strong tourism, major museums and a natural connection to art through its history as the birthplace of Picasso.

For The Fusion Art Gallery, Málaga offers the right mix of local life and global reach. It is a city where artists, collectors, tourists, entrepreneurs and creatives meet naturally.

The move also allows the gallery to work more consistently throughout the year, creating a living art environment instead of relying only on occasional openings or seasonal events.

About The Fusion Art Gallery

The Fusion Art Gallery is a contemporary art gallery, media platform and artist support model based in Málaga, Spain, with roots in Marbella and Stockholm. Founded by Swedish artist and entrepreneur Johan Grundin, TFAG combines physical exhibitions, digital representation, PR, media production, live events and collector outreach to help international artists become more visible.

Built by artists, marketers and creators, the gallery works differently from the traditional model. Each exhibition is treated as a launch, with professional content, storytelling and long-term visibility beyond the walls. TFAG is part gallery, part media engine and part movement for a more honest, transparent and human art world.
