ART HOUSE CONCEPT
The villa has been a creative haven and a meeting place for cultural icons, including the legendary Pablo Picasso, who was a frequent visitor. One of the villa’s most notable features is the La Danza Pool, adorned with a copy of a drawing by Picasso, making it a unique intersection of art and luxury. Guests are invited to tour Villa El Martinete and explore the group exhibition, with art displayed throughout the villa, providing a dynamic and immersive experienc. Premiere Evening for Special Invited Guests:
This high-end, paid event will combine art, history, and luxury, offering an unforgettable experience. The evening will feature live performances, food, and drinks, enhancing the atmosphere.
Live Art Performances:
Enjoy live music and artistic performances that align with the exhibition’s theme, Legacy of Passion, Picasso and Antonio.

UNIQUE SETTING
Villa El Martinete is one of the most legendary estates on Spain’s famous Costa del Sol, located just outside Marbella. This villa boasts a rich history and unique cultural significance, deeply intertwined with Spain’s artistic heritage. The original owner, Antonio Ruiz Soler, also known as “El Bailarín,” was one of Spain’s most famous flamenco dancers. He named the villa after the ‘Martinete’ flamenco, his own creation and most celebrated dance.
APPLICATION & PRICES
We are thrilled to offer artists the opportunity to showcase their work at Villa El Martinete, one of Marbella’s most prestigious and iconic venues. Here are the exhibition spaces and pricing details for artists applying to exhibit:
Artwork Requirements: Themes: Your work should align with the exhibition’s concept and theme Legacy of Passion. We also welcome work connected to Picasso or Antonio. We have one part of the villa for more classical art that’s aligned with the El Martines style and one part for more modern art. Both styles are welcome to apply.
We mainly exhibit paintings, photography, and similar art. But we also have space for statues and sculptures both indoor and outdoor.
1. VIP Locations (High Visibility)
Your artwork will be placed in premium spots with the highest exposure throughout the exhibition period. These include the first entrance hall, living room, and main staircase—spaces where every guest will see your work as they walk into the villa.
Price Range: €350 – €490 per artwork
Artwork Size Possibilities: 150×100 cm, 100×100 cm, 50×50 cm
2. Medium Visibility Locations
These spaces offer great exposure at a more affordable rate, such as the dining room and second-floor hallways. While still very visible, these spaces provide a slightly more intimate viewing experience.
Price Range: €290 – €390 per artwork
Artwork Size Possibilities: Up to 100×100 cm, 80×80 cm, 60×90 cm
3. Low Visibility Locations
These budget-friendly spaces are located in more secluded areas, such as bedrooms. While less visible at first glance, all guests will be guided through these areas to ensure your artwork is seen.
Price Range: €190 – €290 per artwork
Artwork Size Possibilities: 50×50 cm, 40×40 cm
4. Basement Gallery (Modern Art) – Medium Visibility
This large, unique space on the basement floor is dedicated to modern art and offers great visibility. It includes large walls, and all visitors will be guided to explore this section.
Price Range: €290 – €490 per artwork
Artwork Size Possibilities: 150×150 cm, 100×100 cm, 50×50 cm
5. Special Event Display Stand – High Visibility (Event-Only Display)
Artwork will be displayed on stands only during events around the house. This option is for artists who wish to show their work exclusively during special events.
Price: €150 per artwork
Artwork Size Possibilities: Maximum size 100×80 cm
HOW TO APPLY
1. Select your preferred space and artwork size based on the price ranges listed above.
2. Submit your application with the artwork dimensions and a photo of your pieces.
3. We will confirm your booking and help you choose from the available spots.
4. Once confirmed, you will receive payment details. Your spot is only secured after payment.
5. Apply and pay early to secure your place in this exclusive exhibition!
Participation Fee: The cost to participate above is plus a 50% commission on any sales made during the exhibition. This fee covers all promotional activities, the curation of your work, photos and video, and the opening night event.
Hours: The Art House is only open during the premiere evening for external guests. The rest of the time it will be for guests at other high end events, rental guests, press and especially invited art collectors.
Application Deadline: The deadline to apply is October 31st. After that you can apply to our waiting list. Ensure your work is submitted on time to secure your place in this exclusive exhibition. It’s limited spaces.
Johan Grundin is the head is the curator and reserves the right to exclude certain artworks.
Insurance must be arranged by the artist.
Delivery to our Gallery: November 1st or 4th between 10:00 and 17:00.
Pick-up at our Gallery: December 2-3rd between 10:00 and 17.00.
Alternative delivery and pick-up dates must be agreed upon in advance; additional costs may apply.
