WHY IS THIS DIFFERENT
Most artists have two options. Wait for a major gallery to open the door, often a gallery that only works with artists who are already established. Or rent a space, build the exhibition alone, pay for everything, market it yourself, organize the opening, create the content, find the audience and carry all the risk.
We are building another way. One selected artist will receive a 10 day solo exhibition at The Fusion Art Gallery in Málaga, including gallery space, full installation support, opening event, paid marketing, professional photo and video, YouTube and Art Channel visibility, website promotion, sales support and 6 months of Artsy representation, sales visibility and accommodation.
The artist only covers shipping and travel needed. And instead of the traditional 50 to 60% gallery commission, the selected artist keeps 70% of every artwork sale.
You bring your art to Málaga. We take care of the exhibition.

Who can apply?
Artists from any country can apply.
This open call is for visual artists with a strong body of work, a clear artistic direction and the ambition to present a solo exhibition in Málaga.
You do not need to have every artwork finished when you apply. But you should have a strong exhibition idea, a clear vision and enough time to create or prepare the final works between the announcement and the exhibition period.
If you are selected, you only need to consider your own practical costs, such as artwork transport, travel and extra accommodation if needed.
Do I need to be in Málaga for the whole exhibition?
No, not for the full exhibition period.
The selected artist should be in Málaga for the key moments: installation, the Friday opening event and the first Saturday of the exhibition. This usually means around 4 days in total.
For these required days, we provide accommodation for the selected artist.
After that, you do not need to stay for the full exhibition unless you want to. The rest can be discussed depending on the exhibition plan, artist talks, live sessions or other activities connected to your show.
Do the artworks need to be ready before I apply?
No. You do not need to have every final artwork ready at the application stage.
But you should have a strong body of work, a clear exhibition idea and a realistic plan for what you want to present in Málaga.
If you are selected, the final artworks must be finished, prepared and ready to hang or present before they are delivered to the gallery.
We are looking for artists with a clear vision, not just finished pieces.
How many artworks can I exhibit?
It depends on the size, medium and concept of the exhibition.
The gallery has around 45 meters of interior wall space and around 10 meters of exterior wall space, with high walls, raw ceilings and flexible presentation possibilities.
You can exhibit anything from around 10 artworks and up, depending on the scale of the pieces and how we shape the exhibition.
Together, we will curate the final selection to make the show feel strong, clear and professional. The goal is not just to fill the walls. The goal is to tell your story in the best possible way.
Is there a specific genre of art we are looking for?
We are open to strong visual art in many forms: painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, mixed media and other exhibition-ready works.
We are not looking for one fixed style.
We are looking for work with identity, quality and direction. Art that feels clear, intentional and ready to carry a solo exhibition.
What matters most is not the category.
What matters is the strength of your vision.
Is there an application fee?
Yes. The application fee is €35.
But this is not where the story starts.
The real value is the opportunity: one selected artist receives a 10-day solo exhibition in Málaga, with standard exhibition costs covered by the gallery, plus marketing, photo, video, opening event, sales support and 6 months of Artsy visibility.
The fee is simply part of the curated selection process. The opportunity is much bigger than the application
Where is the gallery located?
The Fusion Art Gallery is located at C. Malpica 9 in Málaga City, Spain.
The gallery is in an easy-to-reach urban area, close to Málaga’s old town, train station, public transport, cafés, restaurants and the creative energy of the city.
It is not hidden in a remote location. It is a real gallery space in Málaga, built for exhibitions, openings, artist meetings, live sessions and collector visits.
How long is the exhibition?
The selected artist will receive a 10-day solo exhibition at The Fusion Art Gallery in Málaga.
But the visibility does not stop when the exhibition ends.
Selected artworks will also be presented online through our website and on Artsy, where the artist profile and artworks can remain visible and available for sale for up to 6 months after the exhibition.
This means the artist gets both a physical gallery exhibition in Málaga and extended online sales visibility after the show.
Does the artist have to pay anything for the exhibition?
No. The selected artist does not pay an extra exhibition fee for the exhibition itself.
The standard exhibition package is covered by The Fusion Art Gallery. This includes the gallery space, curatorial guidance, installation support, opening event, marketing, photo, video, website visibility, Art Channel visibility, sales support and 6 months of Artsy representation.
The artist only covers their own practical costs, depending on where they are based. This can include artwork shipping, return shipping or pickup, travel, extra accommodation and artwork preparation.
For international artists, we can also help explore possible grants that may support travel, freight or accommodation costs. Grant funding is not guaranteed, but we are happy to guide the selected artist where possible.
How does the sales and commission work?
We do not follow the old 50/50 gallery model.
For sales connected to the exhibition, the artist keeps 70% of the sale price. The Fusion Art Gallery keeps 30% commission for sales support, collector introductions, online visibility, marketing and exhibition handling.
Artworks can be offered for sale during the exhibition, through our website, through gallery contacts and through online visibility connected to the show.
And the opportunity does not end when the exhibition closes.
Selected artworks can continue to be visible and available for sale online for up to 6 months after the exhibition, including through our website and possible Artsy visibility.

¿Quién puede solicitar?
Artistas de cualquier país pueden solicitar.
Esta convocatoria es para artistas visuales con una sólida trayectoria artística, una dirección artística clara y la ambición de presentar una exposición individual en Málaga.
No necesitas tener todas las obras terminadas cuando solicites. Pero debes tener una idea de exposición sólida, una visión clara y tiempo suficiente para crear o preparar las obras finales entre el anuncio y el período de exposición.
¿Necesito estar en Málaga durante toda la exposición?
No, no durante todo el período de exposición.
El artista seleccionado debe estar en Málaga durante los momentos clave: la instalación, el evento de inauguración del viernes y el primer sábado de la exposición. Esto generalmente significa alrededor de 4 días en total.
Para estos días requeridos, proporcionamos alojamiento al artista seleccionado.
¿Las obras de arte deben estar listas antes de solicitar?
No. No necesitas tener todas las obras de arte finales listas en la etapa de solicitud.
Pero debes tener una sólida trayectoria artística, una idea de exposición clara y un plan realista para crear o preparar las obras finales antes de la exposición.
¿Cuántas obras de arte puedo exponer?
Depende del tamaño, medio y concepto de la exposición.
La galería tiene alrededor de 45 metros de espacio en pared interior. El número exacto de obras se decide junto con el equipo curatorial según el concepto y el diseño de la exposición.
¿Hay un género artístico específico que busquéis?
Estamos abiertos al arte visual sólido en muchas formas: pintura, fotografía, escultura, dibujo, técnicas mixtas, instalación y más.
Lo más importante es que tengas un cuerpo de obra sólido con una visión clara.
¿Hay una tarifa de solicitud?
Sí. La tarifa de solicitud es de €35.
Pero aquí no empieza la historia.
El valor real es la oportunidad: una exposición individual completamente financiada en Málaga, con apoyo de instalación, marketing, eventos, fotografía y representación en Artsy incluidos.
¿Dónde está ubicada la galería?
The Fusion Art Gallery está ubicada en C. Malpica 9 en la ciudad de Málaga, España.
La galería se encuentra en una zona de fácil acceso cerca del centro histórico, rodeada de otros espacios culturales, bares, restaurantes y hoteles.
¿Cuánto dura la exposición?
El artista seleccionado recibirá una exposición individual de 10 días en The Fusion Art Gallery en Málaga.
Pero el impacto va más allá de los 10 días. La representación en Artsy continúa durante hasta 6 meses después de la exposición.
¿Tiene que pagar el artista algo por la exposición?
No. El artista seleccionado no paga una tarifa de exposición adicional por la exposición en sí.
La tarifa estándar de solicitud de €35 es la única tarifa adelantada. Todo lo demás (galería, instalación, marketing, evento, fotografía, alojamiento durante los días requeridos) está incluido en el paquete.
¿Cómo funcionan las ventas y la comisión?
No seguimos el antiguo modelo de galería 50/50.
Para las ventas relacionadas con la exposición, el artista se queda con el 70% del precio de venta. La galería retiene el 30%.
