JOWU is a Swiss contemporary artist based in Roquetas de Mar, Spain, and the creator of Chromanarrativism, an artistic language that explores human experience through colour, materiality, and transformation. His practice investigates moments of transition, where emotional tension, fragmentation, and change become the foundation for visual storytelling.

Working across painting and sculptural wall installations, JOWU combines canvas, textiles, natural materials, plaster, wire, and altered frames to create works that exist between image and object. Rather than treating colour as decoration, he uses it as a vehicle for meaning and emotion, inviting viewers to engage with narratives that remain open to interpretation.
