The painting captures the serene, timeless quality of the deep sea and coral reefs, as well as the symbolic endurance and quiet beauty these elements represent. It also draws from the symbolism of coral in various cultures.

Across various cultures, coral has symbolized protection and vitality. In Chinese culture, coral represents prosperity and protection, a talisman of good fortune and longevity. It is also a symbol of nobility, often associated with the emperor and the imperial family. In Japanese tradition, coral is a symbol of vitality and purity, closely tied to the sea’s life force. In ancient Greece, it was believed to offer protection from evil, while in Hindu tradition, red coral was associated with the warrior god, symbolizing courage and vitality.

The piece from my Fleurs Collection celebrates the fragility and resilience of life beneath the waves of life. In those paintings, I’ve dived into the tranquil depths of the ocean, capturing the serene beauty of coral reefs adorned with the soft, lustrous glow of classic pearls. These pearls rest like dew on the corals, adding an ethereal touch to the vibrant, hidden world beneath the waves.

Personally, those pieces are also tributes to the importance of sea conservation, a cause close to my heart. By protecting these fragile ecosystems, we preserve the extraordinary beauty and life that the ocean cradles—the real treasure of life.
